WASTE Atlas
Waste Atlas is an open-access map developed by D-Waste that maps data on solid waste management around the world for comparison and benchmarking purposes. The purpose of Waste Atlas is to gather all available information and give them form, turning them into useful information for its users. Data loading on the Waste Atlas platform is primarily based on the data input from both its users and partners involved in its “alliance”, including the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), Sweep-Net (the Waste Management Facility for the Middle East and North Africa), WTERT (the World Technical and Scientific Council), SWAPI (the administrative bdy for waste management for Asia and the Pacific islands). The categorization of the data depicted is divided into 3 levels: country, city and facilities data. In this way, Waste Atlas is transformed beyond a valuable information platform into a tool that helps compare waste treatment and management practices.

Guidelines for successful SWM Plans and guidelines for the implementation of Municipal and Regional Plans
The project concerns the development of a guide that provides guidance for the successful design and implementation of waste management plans at municipal and regional level. The purpose of the guide is to provide a useful tool for the development of Solid Waste Management Plans in developing countries and countries in transition. The Handbook of Good Practice has been largely in line with the requirements of Brazil SWM framework

3. Municipality of Drama
Technical Assistance for the planning and implementation of the solid waste and recyclable materials collection in the Municiaplity of Drama
The study refers to the restructuring and optimization of the existing municipal waste and recyclable materials collection system of the Municipality of Drama aiming at the complete formulation of an Environmental Plan for Solid Waste of the Municipality. In this context, the following were elaborated: a. Analysis and evaluation of the existing solid waste management situation in the Municipality, b. optimization of routing of solid waste and recyclable materials collection and transport services, c. optimization of the administrative distribution of the municipality’s cleaning services area in sub-areas (sectors/clusters), d. description and specifications of the appropriate waste collection and recyclable materials equipment, e. good recycling practices, and f. designing awareness and information programs for citizens
4. GIZ GmbH
Regional network for integrated waste management in the MENA region – Update and re-adaption of country reports on Waste Management for GIZ/Sweep-Net
D-Waste supports GIZ/ SWEEP-Net on updating the information and readapt the structure of SWM Country Reports, Regional Benchmarking Report along with the country progress and achievements in the SWM sector. The assignment included the following: a) Support on collecting, updating and compiling relevant data from nine member countries of SWEEP-Net, b) Support on the description and analysis on existing and envisaged national policies and strategies as well as the regulatory framework c) Support on the description and analysis of the local, private and informal sector involvement in solid waste collection, treatment, trade and recycling activities. D) Verify and analyse data and information and evaluate the development of the sector relatively to the situation of the 2010 and 2012 country reports on SWM e) Update the SWM country profiles, f) Collect and process relevant documents, g) Develop a benchmarking system for the different aspects of SWM to compare and monitor the regional development in the sector and h) Organize workshops, presenting the results on each country

Consultancy Services, Design Review, for the project “Hiriya recycling park”
D-Waste is thentechnical adviser of Tel Aviv’s waste management authprity (The Dan Region Association of Towns) providing support in the design and implementation of a viable waste management plan for the Tel Aviv region.

Amman solid waste management project ESMP (Environmental & Social Management Plan) and RAPs (Resettlement Action Plans)
The objective of the project was to provide technical consultancy work and strengthen the technical capacities of the waste management authority in Amman, Jordan in order to smoothly implement the project on Solid Waste Management in Amman and the Resettlement Action Plans have been implemented,. D-Waste undertook the organization and implementation of the capacity building workshops in order to strengthen the technical capacities of those involved in the management of solid waste in Amman and to learn about the design and implementation of Reconstruction Action Plans.

D-Waste undertook the seminars in order to strengthen the technical capacities of those involved in the management of solid waste in Amman and to learn about the design and implementation of Reconstruction Action Plans.
8. WATT AE
Technical Support for the Project “Southern West Bank Solid Waste Management”
The project concerns the operation of a sanitary landfill and 2 Transfer Stations serving parts of the West Bank region and in particular the areas of Hebron and Bethlehem. The project is likely to serve also East Jerusalem regions / municipalities. The project is implemented with the Public Private Partnership (PPP) method. The population currently served amounts to 840,000 people and the amount of waste generated is 560 tonnes a day (or 200,000 tonnes per year). D-Waste is the project implementation consultant providing support for the operation of the waste management facilities of the project, namely the Al Minya landfill and the Waste Transfer Stations in the cities of Hebron and Tarqoumiya. At the same time, D-Waste monitors the correct implementation of the operation and maintenance program, which renews and updates it annually based on operating data.

KOSOVO – WASTE MANAGEMENT SECTOR ASSESSMENT, SECTOR DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND PRE-FEASIBILITY STUDIES
The aim of the project was to describe in details the current state of solid waste management in Kosovo, and to prepare a guide for the necessary reforms of the existing system. Based on the analysis of the urrent situation, two landfills were proposed for which a feathe feasibility study for the expansion and improvement of two existing sanitary landfills was carried out. In the framework of this project, the following were implemented: a) Sampling for the determination of solid waste composition, b) Collection of solid waste management data from field visits, c) Ellaboration of the existing situation in solid waste management at national level, d) Preparation of a guide for the necessary reforms in the field of solid waste management; and e) Preliminary study and feasibility study for the 2 landfills

Software development for the Municipality of Athens
D-Waste developed all the necessary software for both web and mobile applications (for iOS and Android) of ActinAthens application for the Municipality of Athens. Using this application, the citizen can record and inform in real time the municipality authorities for any problem existing in the city. In the same project, D-Waste developed the whole management system of this application that allows the municipality personnel to manage effectively the information received from the citizens and to act/react accordingly and effectively.

D-Waste developed all the necessary software for both web and mobile applications (for iOS and Android) of eCitizen application for the Municipality of Kozani. Using this application, the citizen can record and inform in real time the municipality authorities for any problem existing in the city. In the same project, D-Waste developed the whole management system of this application that allows the municipality personnel to manage effectively the information received from the citizens and to act/react accordingly and effectively. D-Waste supported the Municipality by planning and implementing the citizens’ information and awareness campaign contributing to the applications widespread.
12. Waste Management Union of Chersonissos, Crete
Feasibility Study, Conceptual design and Business Plan for the development of Re-Use Center in Crete – Greece
It refers to the development of the feasibility report for the operation of a materials reuse center in the Hersonissos Municipality, Cretetaking into account the specia characteristics of the area and the compatibility with the National and Regional Planning. Moreover, the study focuses on the following issues related to the establishment and feasibility of the center: a) operation of the re-use centre based on international experience and special characteristics of the area, b) the economic, social and environmental benefits that arise from the operation of the center c) quantitative data on the expected input material flows and d) economic details of the investment and operational costs and possible sources financing. Finally, D-Waste prepared the business plan for the development and operation of the re-use centre that will be used for exploring funding opportunities
